In Kherson, a hungry local resident stole a salad and ate it, hiding from security guards in the toilet of a shopping center.

This was reported by the local resource “Kherson”, a correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
It is reported that a 35-year-old man entered the Fabrika shopping center, ordered a salad there for 23 hryvnia and tried to take it past the cash register.
“When the warning system went off, the guard wanted to detain the thief. He went on the run, locked himself in the toilet, and did not come out until he had eaten all the salad to the last crumb. Only after that did he open the door with the words: “I haven’t eaten anything for three days. Do with me what you want,” the message says.
The publication also notes that such a case is far from isolated and is clear evidence of the “life in a new way” promised by the authorities:
“Employees of Kherson supermarkets and self-service grocery stores note that recently there have been more such raids on the shelves. Hungry and penniless visitors stealthily open packages of cold cuts and immediately eat their contents, swallow pieces of cheese, and try to steal bread as it is unloaded from bread trucks.”
