“I am very grateful to the lawyers for their professional, professional work, that they collected the proper evidence. We will comply with all instructions, we will not put pressure on anyone, we will communicate with victims exclusively in the presence of an investigator in order to fulfill the requirements for compensation for all losses caused - this is what we are ready to do without, of course, expecting a trial on the merits, because we admit everything,” commented the robber’s father, people’s deputy Igor Popov.

Let us remind you that the son of People's Deputy Igor Popov Bogdan and his accomplice were detained on suspicion of robbing a store in Kyiv on Obolon. According to the police, threatening sellers and visitors with weapons, the attackers took 2500 UAH from the cash register.

As law enforcement officers said, one of the defendants was caught red-handed by concerned men and, together with female saleswomen, was kept in the store until the police arrived. His friend, who took the cash, managed to escape. However, 20 minutes later he was detained by police near the Polesie bus station. Later, the prosecutor's office announced that the detainees were suspected of committing a crime qualified under Part 3 of Art. 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (robbery). It was noted that Bogdan Popov and his accomplice had previously refused to testify about the attack on the store, citing Article 63 of the Constitution of Ukraine.
