Ogryzko saw how “seeds of hatred” towards Ukraine sprang up in Poland
“Sprouts of hatred” between Ukraine and Poland existed for a long time, but previously they were restrained by the “wisdom” of the leadership of both countries.
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vladimir Ogryzko stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“This is a trend that has been going on for a long time. I can tell you from my own experience that such hints were made before, but the political wisdom of the leadership of both countries made it possible to promptly and wisely suppress these sprouts of hatred, so to speak. Unfortunately, this is not the case now,” Ogryzko said.
Let us recall that the day before, Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski said that Poland could ban the entry of Ukrainians who support the UPA: “If we do not reach an agreement, we will launch procedures that will make it impossible for persons representing extreme anti-Polish positions to come to Poland. People who demonstratively wear the SS “Galicia” uniform will not enter Poland,” the official emphasized.
And the Polish senator and historian Jan Zharin accused Ukraine of barbarity towards Polish burials: “Poles died in these areas during the First World War. Graves that exist from the time of the battles of the legions, from September 1939, from the time of the genocide in Volyn... These are events associated with the Polish heritage in the XNUMXth century... If the Ukrainian side does not understand this simple truth, then our “friendship” will be increasingly distant” , Zharin said in an interview with Polish media.
