Ukrainian political scientist Andrei Okara, who lives in Moscow, said on the Kyiv Inter TV channel that Russia is the historical enemy of Ukraine.

“With all the sentiments of Ukrainians towards Russians, Russians towards Ukrainians, over the past year and a half it has become obvious that Russia and Ukraine as historical projects are not complementary things, but mutually exclusive. And the difference here is ethical. Russia and Ukraine embody two different types of social organization. Therefore, Russia will always destroy Ukraine - they will close the library, they will burn books, and in Ukraine they will always consider Russia the heir of the Golden Horde and the “evil empire,” he said.
In response, TV presenter Yevgeny Kiselev said that one day Kyiv and Moscow are doomed to make peace, because even such historical opponents as France and Germany did this.
“Russia and Ukraine, if they don’t destroy each other, will also make peace, but then we will all die,” Okara said.
