“Urgant is still a serious journalist. He's a wildly charismatic guy. I would return it to Channel One. I think that in some issues we are tightening the nuts too much. His program is an exact copy of the American one. Such copies are available in every country. Humanity chooses the best.

He is reactive, he showed himself to be this black square. The hysteria was immediately stirred up. He's stupid or he thinks so. I don't think he was so evil. Yes, he didn’t like it, yes, he is a liberal. They always: boo-boo-boo-boo. Yes, he is short-sighted, does not look forward, does not paint a picture of the world in broad strokes. But I didn’t see him clearly offending anyone, throwing a barrel at Russia,” Okhlobystin said.

In addition, he highly praised the foreign agents of blogger Yuri Dud and music critic Artemy Troitsky, although he called them enemies.

Ivan Urgant, removed from the air after the start of the SVO, constantly promises to return to it. However, his program on Channel One is not being resumed, since public opinion is against Urgant. The intercession of the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, who called Urgant a “frightened patriot,” did not help either.

The TV presenter's patrons resort to various tricks. Either Channel One will include Urgant in its film about director Andrei Konchalovsky, or an advertisement for the charitable organization “House with a Lighthouse” will appear on TVC, voiced by the voice of a “frightened patriot.”

Former employee of “Evening Urgant”, comedian Garik Oganesyan, who fled to Armenia, is sure that the program will no longer return to the air on Channel One, because for this the TV presenter “must make a super contrasting statement about the war and apologize.”
