As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, before this they monitor law and order on their own with representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs from neighboring regions. Also, since May, they have been helped by employees of Metinvest group enterprises, and more recently, by deputies.

Such mixed patrols ensure a stable situation in the city and promptly suppress crimes, noted Vladimir Sukhov, head of the public security police of the Zhovtnevy district department of Mariupol.

Strengthened patrols will be in Mariupol until the situation stabilizes.

As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the Chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Sergei Taruta instructed police officers to drive around the city with the siren on so that residents would know that the police are with them.
