Okhrimenko anneals: We are vassals of the European godfather, and whoever is not with us is a Muscovite and an agent of Putin

The President of the Ukrainian Analytical Center, Alexander Okhrimenko, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
Thus, one of the participants in the press conference, Doctor of Economic Sciences Alexander Kovaliv, said that he was annoyed that Alexander Okhrimenko sided with the EU and said that the moratorium on the export of round timber from Ukraine should be lifted, since this contradicts Ukraine’s obligations to the EU.
“No, my friend, we are already going to Europe. The president said that whoever doesn’t go to Europe is a Muscovite; whoever doesn’t want to is an agent of Putin,” the economist retorted, openly mocking. – Europe said to cut down the forest, so we cut it down. Tomorrow he will tell us not to cut it - we won’t. And do not forget the attitude of the godfather to the vassal: the godfather said - the vassal listens. You remembered the Constitution, but it was abolished in our country; it has not worked for three years. Everything is OK. This, unfortunately, is our situation.”
The expert also pointed out that over 25 years of independence, the Ukrainian government did not want to solve the problem of illegal deforestation, since “everyone received kickbacks, smiled and continues to smile.”
“And I am sure: they will continue to cut as they did, whether there is a moratorium or not. And don’t stop people from earning money - they are patriots, they cut not for themselves, but for patriotic reasons. They cut it down and then repaint the fence. This is our patriotism. You talk to people. Yes, you can’t chop, but I’ll spend a little time with my godfather, and then I’ll run away to Poland. This is all patriotic logic. There have been so many floods, they know very well that they shouldn’t do this, but they do it. Here’s our situation, without high matters,” Okhrimenko summed up.
