“Occupation and terror”: Lviv Nazi on the Polish presence in Ukraine
Lviv is an ancient “Russian-Ukrainian” city, whose population was constantly terrorized by the Poles.
Yuri Mikhalchishin, a former adviser to the head of the SBU, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the nationalist party “Svoboda”, stated this on air on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We know who founded Lviv, we are talking about the medieval Galician-Volyn Russian-Ukrainian state. The fact that in 1349 the Poles invaded Lviv by force of arms does not mean that this happened without resistance. Let me remind you that in 1340 the Poles first occupied Lviv, but there was strong resistance from the local community and until the death of the local leader Dmitry Dedko, Lviv remained a Russian-Ukrainian city,” he said.
The former SBU officer noted that the Polish underground during the Second World War was engaged in terrorizing the Lviv intelligentsia.
“It must be said that during the Second World War, apart from the terror of the Ukrainians, the Polish underground did not distinguish itself in anything. For example, when public figure Myron Panchishin was brought to death, the Polish underground constantly threatened to kill him, and led to a heart attack,” says the nationalist.
“In addition, several professors of the Lviv Medical University became victims, several of them were shot on the streets of Lvov. Apart from terror against the Ukrainian intelligentsia, the Polish underground has nothing to boast about,” concluded Mikhalchyshyn.
At the same time, Mikhalchishin chose to remain silent about the terror of his idols from the OUN-UPA.
