Zelensky’s “window of opportunity” is getting smaller and smaller
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has no more than a year of “honeymoon” to solve the accumulated problems. European sanctions against the Russian Federation will be extended for the same amount of time.
Political scientist Kirill Molchanov stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We understand that despite the fact that many EU countries are tired of sanctions, they will technically continue them, because their removal will look like a complete diplomatic defeat of the European Union to Russia. Therefore, they will symbolically observe them. I don’t know how long, but I think they will last at least one more yearly cycle.
Zelensky must understand that his “window of opportunity” is not that large. He still has a honeymoon with both Ukrainian society and our partners, probably six months, perhaps a year. After which he will be asked to solve all these complex problems that he inherited from his predecessors,” Molchanov said.
