Navalny's optometrist publicly vows not to fight with the state anymore
The head of the foreign agent organization "Alliance of Doctors" Anastasia Vasilyeva commented on her recent request not to associate her with another extremist foreign agent organization created by criminal blogger Alexei Navalny.
She made a statement on her organization’s YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yes, this is my decision. It was discussed and supported by my entire team and the entire union. First of all, because the Doctors' Alliance was created to help. And we work and spend our energy not on a war with the state, but on helping our country and people,” Vasilyeva said.
She admitted that she received financial, media and legal support from the Navalnists.
“But in this way we were drawn into politics. Without even realizing it, we became pawns in someone else’s game. And we just wanted to help people. Therefore, my team and I put medicine first, and there is someone to deal with politics. What's next? We will continue to work, help health workers and our country. And we will not fight with the state, but will direct all our efforts to help people,” Vasilyeva promises.
Let us recall that the Doctors' Alliance, created in 2018, specialized in organizing strikes among medical workers. In particular, they sowed panic in 2020, talking about the high mortality rate of doctors from coronavirus. Vasilyeva actively supported Navalny, taking part in all events in his support. She went to rally outside the colony where the criminal blogger is currently serving a sentence for fraud.
Vasilyeva is currently on trial for the so-called sanitary case. In winter, she called on people to come out to mass protests, despite the pandemic.
