Oleg Tsarev: Kyiv hides data on real losses, the death toll goes into the thousands (PHOTO, VIDEO)
Donetsk, July 15 (Navigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – Speaker of the Union Parliament of Novorossiya Oleg Tsarev believes that official Kyiv is falsifying the number of military personnel killed during the ATO.

“Now in Kyiv the war party is much stronger than the peace party. And public support for the idea of war is based on falsified data about military operations in the Donbass. The Ukrainian media almost daily report on the successful operations of the ATO forces, in which the “terrorists” suffer huge losses, and the valiant defenders of the “United Country” show miracles of invulnerability,” Tsarev said at a press conference in Donetsk.
He explained the reason for underestimating losses as follows.
“...On July 10, a battle took place near Karlovka. According to the commander of the Donbass battalion Semyon Semenchenko, the terrorists’ losses amounted to 25 people, the Ukrainian army had 1 killed and 1 wounded. However, according to the leader of the Gorlovka militia, Igor Bezler, the Ukrainian security forces suffered heavy losses that day near Karlovka: about 35 were killed, and about a hundred were wounded.
Official reports are conflicting. On June 16, Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Yarema announced 95 military personnel killed during the ATO. On June 20, the deputy head of the main command center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Rozmaznin, informs about 156 killed military personnel. And on June 29, RNBO speaker Andrei Lysenko gives different data: since the beginning of the ATO, 145 servicemen have been killed - the number of deaths... has decreased. So what are the real losses? And is it possible to find official data on losses – even without “terrorists” and civilians?
During the days of armed confrontation on the Maidan, the Ministry of Health published reports on the dead and wounded every day. You could trust them or not, but they were official data. Now there is not a word about the war on his website!
All data on the dead flows to the National Security and Defense Council, but this data is not available on the official website of the department; it can only be obtained at briefings. In early July, the National Security and Defense Council reported that since the beginning of the special operation, exactly 200 security forces had been killed and more than 600 had been wounded. A couple of days later, the Russian website Politikus.ru, based on data from the LPR and DPR, reported that the total losses of punitive forces (killed, wounded, prisoners) were 4994 people, and deciphered this number in detail. Numbers are cited that are so different from each other that one gets the impression that they are reporting different events,” said Oleg Tsarev.
“According to our sources, official propaganda underestimates losses among ATO participants tenfold! Why is this being done? Why won’t the bodies of dead ATO soldiers be given to relatives for burial? In order not to “upset” loved ones and the public. For the same purpose, information is not disseminated about those ATO participants who refuse to fight against their compatriots. They are simply killed and buried in “mass” graves. There are eyewitness accounts from Slavyansk who saw how Ukrainian security forces shot their own wounded. It was a shock for them!
At the same time, fake information is being spread about thousands of unburied LNN and DPR fighters. But the statement of ATO Speaker Vladislav Seleznev about hundreds of corpses of “terrorists” being thrown into lakes near Slavyansk did not find a single confirmation! What are the reasons for data falsification?
During war, increasing the enemy’s losses and minimizing your own is an important component of information policy. Understated data on one's losses is intended to demoralize the enemy and raise the morale of “friends.”
Confirmation of this version can be found on social networks, where simply stunning data is found. Example. There is information that in Pomerki, a well-known Kharkov hospital, the morgue has long been filled with the corpses of servicemen who died in Donbass or who have already died in Kharkov. Mobile phones that belonged to the deceased are kept in a special room where one of the employees is on duty.
He is on duty so that when someone calls the deceased, he responds with an SMS in the style of “Everything is fine, we are at war, I can’t call.” Of course, you shouldn’t trust such information 100%, but you shouldn’t ignore it either. The second reason for falsification is an attempt to avoid a social explosion in the territory outside the ATO zone.
Another reason for concealing the number of dead ATO soldiers is generally simple. Five Ukrainian generals became dollar millionaires during the ATO. It's time to stop the war long ago. There are no and cannot be winners in this war,” he emphasized.
At the end of the meeting, Oleg Tsarev told reporters that yesterday at a meeting of the parliament of Novorossiya a number of statements were adopted: a statement on the genocide of the people of Donbass, an appeal to the Verkhovna Rada with a demand to stop the punitive operation, to withdraw all units from the territory of the DPR and LPR, an appeal to the Russian Federation and others member states of the UN Security Council with the requirement to state their position and contribute to the de-escalation of the conflict, as well as other documents.
