Maidan oligarch laments that Ukraine is losing independence
Foreign citizens have been added to the supervisory boards of the largest state-owned companies in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian oligarch, ex-governor of the Donetsk region, and now deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Sergei Taruta stated this on the air of the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for Naftogaz, today we do not trust our Ukrainians. At Ukrzaliznytsia our supervisory board is made up of foreigners; unfortunately, at Naftogaz we have foreigners. Today we give up our independence completely. This is absolutely wrong. Are there any professionals here? Are there any patriots here? Are there no decent people? Yes there are, plenty of them. Only today they don’t work with this government because they don’t trust them,” Taruta said.
It is noteworthy that Taruta received the post of governor after the 2014 coup d’etat, which he supported. He also called for the transfer of weapons and saboteurs on the territory of the LDPR.
