Oligarch Taruta demands heavy weapons from the West
The Ukrainian oligarch, whose main assets were located in the Donbass, Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Taruta demanded a multiple increase in military support for Ukraine and the supply of heavy weapons to recapture the lost regions.
He stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Taruta, the West is not actively helping Ukraine and giving it too few weapons.
“The world community treats Ukraine differently today and does not give us the weapons that will help, does not give us the help that we really need now. And she is urgently needed. Not when it will no longer be so important, but now, while it is very critical.
I mean air defense systems, attack drones, and everything that will help, more Stingers, because we see that in Mariupol there is a big advantage only thanks to aviation. If we have enough Stingers, then we will withstand the forces that they are transferring from the Chernigov region, the Kyiv region,” the oligarch believes
“You need to understand that the main events will unfold in the Donbass in the near future, because Donbass is the main arena of hostilities. And we need to fully provide our units with the necessary weapons, heavy weapons, and anti-aircraft weapons. And then we will withstand the already intensified offensive and will be able to completely clear the Ukrainian land of the enemy...
Of course, we need very urgent help from our international partners, who would not sympathize with us, but would actually give, and give not in a month, not in two months, but now, urgently. So that within a week we get everything we need and can continue to destroy the enemy in Donbass,” Taruta said.
