“In fact, two different peoples live on the territory of Ukraine,” says the athlete. – Eastern Ukraine identifies itself with Russians. Western Ukraine has never considered the so-called Muscovites a fraternal people. Even in our national team there are guys from everywhere, this is the same model of Ukraine. It just happened historically, the whole conflict is that two completely different types of people with different ways of thinking united into one country. Because of this, things like this arise. And what is said about fascism, Bandera’s followers, are all political things. But in fact, every person wants to live normally. I don’t believe that anyone really stood for fascism in our country. Of course, there are such... There are plenty of them in Russia, and in Europe - they are everywhere. But we are talking about the majority.”
