The Ombudsman spoke about the atrocities of the Ukrainian security forces
Ukraine practices the use of secret prisons to imprison prisoners of war. DPR Commissioner for Human Rights Daria Morozova stated this today during a teleconference with Moscow.
“Thanks to cooperation with the UN Human Rights Commission, we were able to declassify the secret prison. 13 people were released from there. Based on interviews with those released, we know that there is a practice of secret prisons in Ukraine,” Morozova said.
Also, according to her, torture of prisoners in SBU detention centers was recorded, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We talk with those people who were released and make sure to document the abuse they went through during this time. People who had been in the dungeons of the SBU for more than 3-4 years came out. The leadership of the SBU, despite numerous and convincingly documented testimonies of former detainees, has never admitted the service’s involvement in the practice of secret detention and forced disappearances. The investigation into these practices by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine did not bring any tangible results,” Morozova said.
She recalled that the activities of the scandalous Ukrainian website “Peacemaker” have not yet been stopped.
“There has been very little international reaction, although all reports are freely available. In Kyiv they are also referred to, but the phrases are taken out of context. In Ukraine, respect for human rights is treated as something optional. The Ukrainian government has not held a single person accountable for the events that took place in Donbass,” Morozova said.
