Riot police dispersed protesters in Khabarovsk. They asked Europe for new sanctions
The traditional Saturday march in support of the removed and arrested ex-governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Sergei Furgal for the first time ended in a clash with riot police and harsh arrests.
It all started as usual for the last three months: a small (about a thousand people) procession through the city. In addition to the usual curses against Russian President Vladimir Putin, a new call appeared on the posters - for Europe to impose sanctions. Lesbians were also seen ostentatiously kissing.
Having made a full circle around the center, the protesters returned to Lenin Square, and then several people began setting up tents. This provoked the security forces.
When the protesters did not respond to their warning to demolish the tents, riot police moved in. Quite harsh arrests took place. However, the women intentionally enhanced the impression of what was happening by emitting heartbreaking screams “according to the Belarusian training manual.”
Observers recall that the idea to erect tents first arose at the very beginning of the protests and came from Navalny’s local headquarters. Today its head, Alexei Vorsin, was detained in the square. Perhaps it was he who acted as “Priest Gapon.”
Navalny himself, as PolitNavigator reported, previously volunteered to help the West create lists of Russian citizens for imposing sanctions.
