Kyiv, December 19 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Director of Ukrspirt Mikhail Labutin, who was allegedly kidnapped by armed people, is safe: he was “evacuated” in an extravagant way by “Aidar”.

The press service of Ukrspirt stated that Labutin was not kidnapped, but taken to a safe place.
“Employees of the trade union of the State Enterprise “Ukrspirt” appealed to the “Aidar” battalion with a request to protect the enterprise and its director Mikhail Labutin from the arbitrariness of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the State Fiscal Service until all the circumstances are clarified,” says a message posted on the Ukrspirt website and duplicating the statement "Aidara".
“On February 19 at 12.00, the director was supposed to give an emergency briefing at the Center for Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery and tell what was happening in the alcohol industry, who was protecting the corruption schemes and today is putting pressure on the director of Ukrspirt.
11.45, according to operational information from Aidar fighters, representatives of the fiscal service and investigators from the prosecutor's office were supposed to take out the director of Ukrspirt, Mikhail Labutin, and if that fails, use drugs that would provoke a heart attack so that he would shut up forever. Therefore, the volunteers who guarded Mikhail Labutin decided to thwart these plans and take the director to a safe place,” said Aidar.
Let us remind you that the general director of Ukrspirt is suspected of embezzlement of state enterprise funds and tax evasion.
On December 10, the State Fiscal Service, in agreement with the Prosecutor General's Office, issued a notice of suspicion to Labutin of embezzlement of Ukrspirt funds in the amount of UAH 172,5 million and evasion of value added tax in the amount of UAH 28,2 million.
