“He wants, but they don’t give it to him”: sociologists have recorded a two-fold increase in support for Zelensky
Over the past month, support for the activities of President Vladimir Zelensky has almost doubled, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
In May, according to the results of Zelensky’s work within 11 days after the inauguration on May 20, 17% of respondents “completely approved” of his actions, 22% “rather approved”. Over the course of a month, the indicator of “unequivocal” support for the president increased to 32%, and those who “rather approve” - to 35%. Such data was provided by the sociological group “Rating”.
Zelensky is most supported by citizens aged 18 to 50 in the south of the country and central Ukraine. Among the most common assessments of Zelensky’s activities is “He wants to do something, but the old government won’t let him.”
The survey, in the form of a personal interview at the respondent’s home, was conducted throughout Ukraine, except for the uncontrolled territories of Crimea and Donbass, from June 12 to June 23, 2019.
“Rating” conducted research commissioned by the International Republican Institute and surveyed 2,400 voters in Ukraine. The sample is representative by gender, age, region and size of the locality.
The error does not exceed 2%. Respondent coverage rate is 61.8%.
