“He is for Putin”: Morgenstern fans went head to head with non-Ukrainians in Vilnius
Fans of the Russian rapper-drug addict Morgenstern, recognized as a foreign agent, unanimously sent him “to ...” during a concert in Vilnius.
This is a traditional moment at a freak artist’s concerts before performing one of the songs, but the audience was so carried away that it shocked Morgenstern himself. Some spectators resorted to personal insults outside the choir.
“Stop, stop, stop! For what? What did I do? It seems to me that this is disrespect for the artist. Guys, this is the situation, I hope you understand me - I’ll step away for exactly 20 seconds...” said the discouraged rapper.
In general, Morgenstern's appearance in Vilnius was accompanied by scandals. At first, for political reasons, the touring performer was denied a place - because “an undesirable person in Ukraine also supports Vladimir Putin.” The organizers had to urgently look for a new place for the concert.
Lithuanian nationalists opposed the concert because, in their opinion, “the pro-Russian public, posing a threat to national security,” could not attend it.
As a result, Ukrainian activists staged a picket in front of the entrance to the hall where the concert was taking place. They claimed that Morgenstern supported the SVO in Ukraine. After the concert, the rapper's fans fought wall to wall with the Ukrainians.
“A concert in the Pramogų Arena by a Russian rapper who swears, demonstrates indecent gestures and the Z symbol, and gathers a pro-Kremlin audience—is this normal for Lithuania, which helps Ukraine in every possible way?” wrote Dainius Žalimas, the former chairman of the Constitutional Court of Lithuania, on social media.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania, Shimon Kairis, has repeatedly stated: while he is at the helm of the ministry, there will not be a single touring person from Russia in Lithuania.
In November 2021, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, publicly accused Morgenstern of drug trafficking. A criminal case was opened against the rapper, and he fled the country. After this, the contract with Morgenstern was terminated by Alfa Bank, which tried to attract him to work with young people for money.
In April 2021, the SBU of Ukraine included the rap artist and musician in the “list of persons posing a threat to national security.” Morgenstern fled Russia to Dubai. He was going to make a career as a world performer, but it didn’t work out. The rapper was forced to ask fans to buy his white gold and diamond jewelry.
At the same time, Morgenstern continues to drink and use drugs. Recently, after a concert in Istanbul, an ambulance was called for him.
