“They want to live, and live well” - the population of NATO countries does not want to fight with Russia at all
The peoples of European countries are categorically against additional expenses for the war against Russia, and especially direct conflict, and Russophobia is being dispersed by the warriors profiting from this.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik said this on air on the Politeka channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Europe is very empathetic and sympathizes with Ukraine, but Europe is absolutely not ready to fight. There are no preparations for war in Europe. It’s a stretch – Poland, and even then it’s a huge stretch. That's all.
There are no preparations for war in Europe, and Europe believes that Russia will not invade the NATO continent, and even if such a threat arises, Europe will come to an agreement with Moscow,” Bortnik said.
He emphasized that representatives of the army and the military-industrial complex are trying to force the issue, but the people are categorically against new hardships.
“The military needs money and resources, and they are pumping up this topic. But so far politicians have not heard them - and will not hear them. Judging by the electoral balances of Germany and France in the European Parliament elections, it is still difficult for them to reach their voters.
Europe suffered greatly during Covid, people endured various restrictions for a very long time, and today they are not ready to endure these restrictions for the sake of the army. They want to live a calm, measured and open life,” the expert concluded.
