“They weren’t flying towards us!” – in Lvov they are amazed at the deceptive maneuver of Russian missiles
The missiles that hit targets in Lviv today flew first towards Ivano-Frankivsk, but on approach they turned towards the capital of western Ukraine.
Deputy of the Lviv City Council Lyubomir Gutnik stated this on the Espresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Gutnik, the militants standing at checkpoints in the Ivano-Frankivsk region saw that the missiles had changed direction.
“It is known that visually in the neighboring Ivano-Frankivsk region, when the missiles were flying, they were flying in one direction simply visually, at the checkpoints there is information that they were seen, how they simply turned towards Lviv. That is, these were some kind of guided missiles that were flying in one direction, the air raid warning warned that the missiles were flying towards western Ukraine, but they were aimed at Ivano-Frankivsk, and at the last moment they were deployed in the direction of Lvov,” Gutnik said.
He also did not rule out that due to a sharp change in course, these missiles were unable to detect Ukrainian air defense systems.
Former Maidan activist, now a member of the neo-Nazi Azov Corps, Yuri Mikhalchishin, on the air of the Lvov NTA TV channel, suggested that the attack on Lvov was dealt because the Russians “don’t like” western Ukraine and called for preparations for the fact that such attacks will become regular.
“You need to understand that it was only a matter of time before peaceful Ukrainian cities deep in the rear of western Ukraine became targets of Russian missile attacks. First of all, both for operational-strategic reasons, and for psychological and even ideological reasons. You understand perfectly well that Russians hate Western Ukraine, because in their perverted minds, this is the cradle of Ukrainian nationalism. And, accordingly, the perception as a deeply enemy bridgehead in the strategic rear of Ukraine is quite negatively colored.
There is also the logic of the Russians in destroying supply chains... It was impossible to relax after the first missile strikes on objects such as the Yavorovsky test site and oil depot. There are a lot of such objects that are a tasty point of attack for Putin’s fascists, and Lviv residents need to get used to the fact that danger may be nearby,” the Nazi worried.
