“They are in Ukraine. Only drivers in beige are driving. The Red Cross personnel are not visible,” they write, noting that at least ten trucks are already on the territory of Ukraine. Another three dozen are in line to enter.
At the same time, conflicting information is received about the presence of Ukrainian customs officers and border guards. In the morning, RT reported that Ukrainian border guards continued to process the cargo.
According to RIA Novosti, trucks with humanitarian aid from the Russian Federation left the Izvarin checkpoint and began moving towards Lugansk through the territory of Ukraine. In turn, the representative of the Southern Customs Administration, Ryan Farukshin, said that Russian customs officers began to clear the second batch of trucks with humanitarian cargo for Ukraine, clarifying that the clearance began after the first batch of 34 vehicles began to clear the site and leave the territory of Russia at the Izvarino checkpoint.
As Navigator reported, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that “the Russian side has decided to act. Our convoy with humanitarian cargo begins to move in the direction of Lugansk.” The Russian Foreign Ministry recalled that “all necessary guarantees for the safety of the passage of the humanitarian convoy have been given.”
Earlier in Kyiv, in particular, the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov made harsh statements about stopping the unauthorized movement of a humanitarian convoy through the territory of Ukraine. Subsequently, the rhetoric changed: it was necessary to coordinate the route, the nomenclature of the cargo, and the presence of Red Cross employees in each car.
