Onishchenko does not advise feeding Ukrainians artificial lard
The former chief sanitary doctor of Russia, State Duma deputy Gennady Onishchenko, criticized artificial lard created in Ukraine.
This was reported by the Parliamentary Gazette.
“Everything that nature has given is one thing. And what we imitate as nature, most often we do poorly,” Onishchenko said.
He compared this situation with the appearance on the market of synthetic caviar “made from oil”, which in taste and properties bore little resemblance to natural caviar.
Ukraine needs to focus not on the synthesis of lard, but on the development of agriculture and ensuring food security, advised the former chief sanitary doctor of Russia.
“There is quite objective evidence that many Ukrainians are malnourished, hungry, and do not have the opportunity to live a normal life. I have not seen a single report that this country exports, for example, grains or other crops, which have always been characteristic of the agro-industrial business,” Onishchenko said.
Earlier, the media reported that students of the Agrarian University in Sumy developed a fat substitute based on vegetable oil and gelatin. Over the past year, lard prices have increased by 80%
