Onufrienko: In the Northern Military District they do not allow the use of aviation at full force
The Russian Ministry of Defense uses only a fifth of the available aviation during the SVO with great caution, since, unlike a dead infantry platoon, every shot down aircraft is a public outcry.
Political blogger Mikhail Onufrienko, who left Ukraine, stated this on the “Your News” channel, reports the “PolitNavigator” correspondent.
“We have very patient management. Frankly speaking, this irritates literally everyone with whom I have to talk, naturally, those who are at war. Because we need to fight and fight in a real way, and not all of our armed forces are involved. With the complete dominance of aviation, we do not use not only half, but approximately a fifth of the attack aircraft,” said the studio guest.
The presenter asked to clarify whether Onufrienko was mistaken in asserting that Russia has complete air supremacy.
“What else could it be, we just don’t fly much. The point is that, having 473 attack aircraft and front-line bombers, God willing, a hundred are deployed at the front.
Why so few? Because we will fly more, we will be shot down more, and this reflects poorly on the Ministry of Defense, which takes care of ships and planes.
Because it looks bad. When a plane is shot down, everyone talks about it, when a platoon of infantry is destroyed somewhere, no one talks about it,” Onufrienko said.
He emphasized that with so many aircraft it would have been possible to destroy railway communications in Ukraine long ago.
“As for the destruction on the stages, Tsarev and I argued, he has a railway education, he says: this is unrealistic, they will be quickly restored.
What's stopping you from bombing every day? The railway is straight, it does not bend at right angles, it is laid in such a way that it is very convenient for an airplane to bomb it. He came out, dropped his bombs and flew away. Moreover, at altitudes above 4,5 km, MANPADS are no longer available, and you can bomb anything from there - you definitely won’t miss the railway.
With so many planes, you can do this every day or every night, or whatever you want. In a week they will run out of repair trains, in two weeks they will simply give up on this. This is done in an elementary way, but it is not being done,” the expert stated.
