This was announced by the interim head of the operation of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Displaced Persons in Ukraine, Jean-Noel Watterwald.
According to him, special social videos will be broadcast on Ukrainian TV channels aimed at reducing the level of hatred towards the residents of Donbass.
“UNHCR, together with government agencies as well as representatives of civil society, has developed an information campaign aimed at increasing tolerance towards internally displaced persons. The campaign will launch on national TV channels with the support of visual outdoor advertising in the seven largest host communities in Ukraine,” said Vatterwald.
Earlier, the UN announced the deterioration of relations between Ukrainians and refugees from Donbass. In particular, cases of harassment of refugees and infringement of their social, economic and labor rights have been repeatedly recorded.
