The UN should not exist if there is no way to exclude Russia - Belkovsky
The United States can easily solve the problem of the votes of countries that do not agree with American policies and Russia’s veto power in the UN by destroying the organization by leaving it itself.
Russian liberal political strategist Stanislav Belkovsky, who fled to Israel, stated this on the Internet channel “Power and Vlashchenko,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He expressed the opinion that China, Brazil, India and Africa refused to vote for the resolution condemning referendums on the accession of Ukrainian regions to the Russian Federation, because they are trying to take an independent position in relation to the United States.
“Against this background, there is more and more talk that Russia can and should be excluded from the UN Security Council. Or, conversely, expand its composition to include Brazil, India, Japan, Germany, which, after all, is no longer the losing country in the European war, but the leading power in Europe.
But since all this is technically and technologically difficult or almost impossible to do, the question arises as to why the UN is needed, in which there is a rudiment of the Yalta-Potsdam Peace, and whether it is time to eliminate it in principle, which is very easy to do,” Belkovsky said.
According to him, this is very easy to do - it is enough for the United States to withdraw from the UN, followed by the closure of the headquarters in New York.
“I don’t think anyone will have a burning desire to recreate the UN somewhere on another territory and invest gigantic resources into it. Unless the Russian Federation will do this, but who will take it seriously?” – added the liberal.
