The UN received evidence of Ukraine's crimes against Crimea
Materials on Ukraine’s actions regarding the water blockade of Crimea were transferred to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet.
Russian State Duma deputy from Crimea Natalya Poklonskaya reported this on her blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Poklonskaya, the documents refer to the illegal actions of the Ukrainian authorities, who decided to “turn off the tap” of the international Dnieper River, the waters of which flowed to the peninsula through the North Crimean Canal.
“The materials contain information about the illegal actions of the UN member state of Ukraine, which deliberately deprived millions of people of the basic and inalienable right to drinking water, creating a real threat to the life and health of the population of the peninsula, as well as the ecology of part of South-Eastern Europe.
The Ukrainian side’s justification for its crime looks ridiculous: citing its innocence in the lack of drinking water and calling on Russia to independently resolve issues of access to it, after they themselves illegally cut off the water flowing into Crimea through the North Crimean Canal from the international (and not privatized by someone else) then) the Dnieper River, keeping “your hand on the faucet” is blackmail and strongly resembles the behavior of an ordinary thief in the dock with an unsuccessful lawyer,” Poklonskaya said.
Previously, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova explained why Ukraine is trying punish the inhabitants of the peninsula with a water blockade.
Let us remind you that due to the blockade by Ukraine, as well as the dry summer in Crimea, the reservoirs have dried up, feeding the Simferopol and Bakhchisarai regions, including cities.
To the authorities had to limit the supply water supply and enter schedules.
In addition, there was an emergency water transfer organized from other sources.
