The Goebbels from the Ministry of State, with all possible help from related departments, also undertook to distort beyond recognition a number of events of the last five years of the “European Way” that were extremely unpleasant for Bandera’s followers.
Thus, the events of February 26, 2014, which took place in the area near the building of the Supreme Council of Crimea, which resulted in clashes between Crimean residents who stood up to defend the Crimean autonomy from the “askers” and the Maidan hundreds of militants who came in large numbers, are already being interpreted by the Goebbels as “the resistance of the Crimeans who came out to defend the integrity of and the sovereignty of Ukraine, sent from Sevastopol by intelligence agents of the Black Sea Fleet.”

On April 24, at the Ukrinform press center, the Ministry of Internal Affairs gathered a group of scarecrows who worked on Bandera’s version of the April 2014 events in Donbass, also passing them off as “civil resistance to Russian occupation.”

If this visual propaganda had an effect on anyone, it was not for long. The referendum on May 11, 2014 in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions was inspired by the massacre carried out by Bandera’s supporters in Odessa on May 2 and the “Bloody Sunday” in Mariupol on May 9.
Why did the propagandists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, using the last crumbs of “normal funding”, begin to shred precisely the April 2014 events in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions? Yes, because it was during that period that the junta and the Nazis did everything to lose the Donbass for Ukraine, starting a war in response to sane calls for federalization and an end to the persecution of the Russian language, culture and common history.

On April 7, the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) was proclaimed in the meeting room of the Donetsk Regional State Administration. On the same day, “acting President of Ukraine” (a position not provided for by any laws of Ukraine), or simply the usurper Turchynov creates an anti-crisis headquarters and declares “carrying out anti-terrorism measures against everyone who has taken up arms.” The threat did not concern the Ukronatsiks who were hastily arming themselves.
A company of Vinnitsa police special forces, armed with machine guns and machine guns, on the morning of April 8 recaptured the building of the Kharkov Regional State Administration, which had been captured by the rebels. On April 8–13, dozens of civil actions are taking place in the cities and towns of Donbass against the armed coup and the pro-Bandera nationalists who seized power, for federalization and an alliance with Russia. Within a few days, Kyiv loses control over the cities of Krasnodon, Krasny Luch, Torez, Makeevka, Gorlovka, Kramatorsk and many smaller settlements. Parts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not interfere in what is happening, taking a neutral position; the police almost everywhere openly support the local population.
On April 13 in Kyiv, the National Security and Defense Council decides to launch an “anti-terrorist operation” (ATO). Having usurped the powers of the president, Turchinov gives the order to use the Armed Forces of Ukraine in suppressing protests that were previously peaceful.
Contrary to the current legislation, instead of the anti-terrorism units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Security Service of Ukraine, heavy weapons, multiple launch rocket systems, aviation and ballistic missiles are used against supporters of federalization.
April 14 “acting President" Turchynov issues a decree on the start of the "ATO" based on the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
On April 15, the leadership of the DPR declares non-recognition of the Kiev regime and reports that “The formation of the Donetsk People’s Republic is an objective reality, the need for which arose as a result of the complete loss of statehood of Ukraine after the unconstitutional coup and in order to protect the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens living on its territory.” .
On April 16, in Kramatorsk, the paratroopers of the 25th brigade, sent to suppress Slavyansk, went over to the side of the rebels. Together with 6 units of armored vehicles, including the Nona self-propelled gun, which became famous during the defense of Slavyansk. These six armored vehicles became the first armored forces of the future DPR army.
Having lost hopes of returning Donbass through threats, rallies and other Maidan methods, the bloody pastor and his henchmen switched to provocations with the killing of military and civilians in order to overcome the “Crimean syndrome” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
