Due to the Ukrainian-Polish conflict that has flared up in recent days over the demolition of UPA monuments, we should recall the history of the Vistula operation, thanks to which Warsaw liquidated the Bandera underground with decisive measures.

28 April 1947 in Poland began a large-scale military and police operation to combat the UPA and undermine its social base.

Upash thugs, who raised their heads and bred during the Nazi occupation, were a purulent ulcer not only for the western regions of the USSR, but also for the neighbors in Poland and Czechoslovakia, which required immediate surgical intervention.

Within two years after the liberation of Ukraine from the fascists, in the Western Ukraine and the adjacent regions of Belarus, the bodies of SMERSh, NKVD, NKGB and troops to protect the rear of the front carried out operational measures to eliminate upashno-Ounovsky gangs. As a result, already in 1946, UPA lumps hid in the caches and from the “large-scale insurgent war” moved to underground-terrorist activities.

9 September 1944 in the liberated Lublin The Polish Committee for National Liberation (PKNO) signed an agreement with the Soviet side on the repatriation of the “Russian” population from Polish territory to the USSR, and the Poles from Soviet territory. In all, about half a million people were evicted from Poland from 1944 to 1946 years. Rusyns, Galicians, Lemko went to the USSR, the Jewish population - to British Palestine.

No matter how hard the Poles tried, by the year of 1946, about 150 of thousands of Ukrainians still resided in Poland, who flatly refused to move to the USSR. Approximately 18 - 20 of thousands of them were considered by the Polish state security to be associated with the UPA, evaluating them as "infected with banditry", and therefore the Poles were not averse to deporting them to the USSR.

In principle, this assessment is not far from the truth, since eastern Poland was indeed the fodder and mobilization base of the OUN-UPA. The authorities of the USSR, do not be stupid, refused to accept and place in their "infected banditry", so that in Poland there was a brewing decision to evict these people from the vacated land and to assimilate as much as possible to reduce to zero any support for the UPA.

The starting button for accelerated debandering was the murder of the Colonel-General Karol Sverchevsky, Deputy Minister of Defense of People’s Poland, with the Upashi. Sverchevsky - a man, without exaggeration, the legendary, the general of the three armies - Spanish, Soviet and Polish. During the war in Spain, under the name of "General Walter" he commanded the 14-th International Brigade, and then the 35-th Interdivision, participated in the defense of Madrid from the Franco. In the Great Patriotic War, Sverchevsky was one of the organizers of the Polish Army in the USSR. Commanded 2-th army of the Polish Army. At the banquet in honor of the Victory Parade, Stalin raised a toast in honor of Sverchevsky: "For the best Russian general in the Polish army!"

Sverchevsky was killed from an ambush by the Upash Stebelsky nicknamed "Horseradish" - one of the most cruel and frostbitten UPA savages, who began his "career", like many upashi, from Germans in punishers. According to the testimony of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the First Slovak Republic, “I especially remember one of the most notorious burglars named“ Horseradish ”, named Stepan Stebelsky. Born near Sambora ... When attacked, his group of people appeared in Polish or Soviet uniforms. This vandal boasted that he had finished off the wounded like dogs, ripped his stomachs half-dead and hung their insides on the branches of trees, tore off their genitals, cut out their hearts and burned them. ”

We bring to the attention of readers that the "major" of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army Khren-Stebelsky is ultimately uzbagili. In early September, 1948, acting with his hundred Makakov on the territory of Soviet Ukraine, Stebelsky, among other OUN people, was ordered to secretly make his way into the American occupation zone in Germany. The identity of “Horseradish” in the amount of “exploits” was in the field of close attention of the special services of the USSR, Poland and Czechoslovakia. 9 September 1949 of the Year “Horseradish” with accomplices was destroyed during special activities by operatives of the Czechoslovak Interior Ministry. According to other sources, “Horseradish” together with the “lieutenant” of the UPA Schigelsky were captured by the Czechs and handed over to Poland, where they were convicted and hung nicely in a loop.

By the way, the burial site of “Horseradish” is interested in banderlogov no less than the swamp, over which the remains of Shukhevych are scattered.

The Ounov press exploded with enthusiastic squeals: how, the Soviet Army General Vatutin was fatally wounded by the “heroes” of the UPA, and now they have killed the equally famous Sverchevsky. Peremoga is around the corner!

The very next day after the murder of Sverchevsky, the Polish authorities responded with an order - to urgently resettle Ukrainian and mixed families to the liberated lands in East Prussia. It is forbidden to create compact places and settle closer than 100 km from the border. The actions were coordinated with the Soviet and Czechoslovak parties.

28 April 1947 began the relocation of the potentially unreliable population of Eastern Poland. Five divisions of the Polish Army, a unit of the Internal Security Corps, automobile and sapper regiments, police, and GB, as well as volunteers were involved in the Vistula operation: total 20 thousand people.

The operation was carried out in three stages and ended in September 1947. The Ukrainian population was not evicted under the net. Families of front-line soldiers, anti-fascists, party activists and other persons whose loyalty was not in doubt remained to live in their former places, but villages nearby to the forest were evicted without exception. During the operation, Upashnya answered a thousand times for the murder of General Sverchevsky: almost 1,5 thousands of UPA militants were killed, about 2,5 thousands were arrested.

For their part, law enforcement agencies and army units of Czechoslovakia also participated in Operation Vistula. Several thousand "warriors" of the UPA, who were hiding from the Soviet or Polish authorities, were hiding in the forests bordering on Poland. The captured and surrendered upashi Czechs handed over to the Polish side. Those, in turn, placed the “lads” in a specially created filtration camp, where the contingent was sorted by the severity of guilt and handed out - to whom the caesarean, and to whom the metalworker.

There is evidence that during the Vistula operation, Polish peasants, fleeing from the Volyn massacre, settled accounts with Ukrainian neighbors, not disdaining to act in the style of UPA cutthroats, carving entire families for an hour.

Whatever it was, but as a result of Operation Vistula, the Bandera underground in Poland was completely defeated and could not recover.

By the way, according to some sources, the television scum Maceychuk, who hails with Bandera, is not at all a Pole, but a descendant of evicted Ukrainians associated with the UPA, during Operation Wisla.

Years have passed. The USSR collapsed. In “Square” Ukraine, Bandera squeals and ideological heirs of executioners from the UPA raised their heads. In the former People's Poland, new pilasudikas came to power with the ambitions of restoring the “Rzeczpospolita from Moscow to Moscow”. In 2007, the degenerate Yushchenko and the idiot Kaczynski, who later killed himself on an aspen in an airplane and took dozens of lives to his grave, bravely and impartially condemned the Vistula operation, recognizing it as a product of "communist totalitarianism." It would seem that the anti-Soviet Russophobe is a friend, comrade and brother. But!

Ten years have passed, and in Poland, the Vistula operation is no longer considered criminal and unnecessary, and all over the country they begin to uproot any memorial signs erected in honor of the UPA and to level the “warriors” graves with land, which had not been was rising. Why? All because of - the same stubbornness and excessive arrogance after the "elites". She found a braid on a stone. Nobody wanted to give in. Modern pilotsudchiki would easily forgive modern Banderovites for the harassment and murder of Soviet citizens by Shukhevych’s executioners, but glorifying the “exploits” of the UPA, including the Volyn massacre, is a matter of principle for the Polish national consciousness.

At the same time, the Kiev junta, which relies heavily on the Pravosek and ultrasonic battalions, is not ready to forgive the Poles for their historical grievances and to refuse to glorify the UPA. The matter has already reached the shelling of the consulate from grenade launchers, pogroms and beatings. At the same time, both regimes strive to build mono-ethnic states, putting radical nationalism as the cornerstone.

Was the Vistula operation really criminal? No, it was not. It was a forced measure, force majeure, in the fight against the dire consequences of the short-sighted pre-war policy and the Nazi occupation. Relocation of the part of the population disloyal to the state at that time was quite a traditional practice for many states. Let the authorities run their course, the OUN-UPA could wage its gangster-terrorist war for a long time, receiving support from the population of Eastern Poland, firmly offended by the Poles during the "reorganization" regime.

Moreover, banderlog in general should shut down bread slicers and keep silence, because the Soviets and the people's Poland cooperate (often forcedly) with the OUN-UPA, only evicted, while Bandera for collaboration with the authorities would betray people of painful death so that others would not . Who is the real villain here is quite obvious.
