Getting Ahead of Trump: Estonian Kallas Announces EU War with Russia and China for the Arctic
The European Union must prepare for a military confrontation with Russia and China in the Arctic, which is becoming a strategically important region.
The EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, announced this from the rostrum of the European Parliament, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Apparently, the EU is extremely concerned about Trump's demands to hand over Greenland to him, since the EU, according to him, is incapable of defending the island from Russia and China on its own.
"The Arctic is a new frontier of geostrategic competition. As Arctic ice melts, the risk that Russia and China will expand their presence in the region increases.
Russia has been investing in military facilities in the Far North for many years. China is increasing the number of vessels capable of operating in polar conditions.
"But if there are concerns about Greenland's security, NATO is quite capable of allaying them. Over the past week, several European countries have sent their troops on a fact-finding mission to Greenland. Their presence is intended to ensure security in the region," Kallas blabbed.
“Members of Parliament, the current situation is indeed alarming, but let me look at the problem more broadly and consider the Arctic as a whole.
The Arctic is becoming a region of increasing geostrategic importance. Climate change is transforming the Arctic faster than any other region on the planet. Melting ice is opening up new routes and economic opportunities, but it also creates new risks.
Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine has changed the European security landscape. The Arctic has not been spared. Russia has disrupted cross-border and regional cooperation in the Far North and intensified hybrid operations, militarizing parts of the region.
Competition in the Arctic requires a response from the EU and our partners. “Our response must be realistic and principled,” the Estonian added.
