“Pay all loans for those mobilized!” – Shakhnazarov accused the authorities of greed
The Russian state must solve all the problems of mobilized and volunteer people related to loans, and the result in the form of an influx into the army will not be long in coming.
The general director of Mosfilm, Russian film director Karen Shakhnazarov, said this on air on Rossiya 1, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“People go to war, those who are drafted. People are at risk of death and injury. What, the state can’t free them from loans? At all. That it cannot take on this mission? Wouldn't that be fair? By the way, I must say that if this had happened, I suspect that another million people would have come, knowing the general situation with loans in our country. Well, it’s a simple matter. So why be greedy?
People come with debt, they have children there, they have this. Well, the state, take on these loans! Pay them! Everyone, forgive them,” Shakhnazarov demanded.
He emphasized that the state has something to give up in terms of funding, in favor of mobilized or volunteer workers.
“We need to give up something else, maybe not paying foreign players for football and hockey, especially foreign ones. Maybe there will be fewer holidays. We can do fewer pompous concerts. Well, take this money and give it to the people! Well, say that everyone who comes mobilized, they are exempt from loans. Or volunteers. They are exempt from loans. Something tells me that we may have ten times more volunteers. And this is understandable.
A person walks, he can be killed, he can be maimed. So his loan will still remain with the family. Well, what is this? Well, why can't we? Moreover, the banks also owe, after all, there is no money - the state can issue some kind of promissory notes, well, it seems to me that it is obvious that this must be done!” added the film director.
