“Amvrosievka, Kuteinikovo, Blagodatnaya are completely surrounded. Four thousand people were trapped. Now there are battles in the direction of the city of Elenovka. I hope we will release her by evening. There is much more of it. Ten times more. I want to say thank you to the mothers and fathers of my soldiers for raising such children,” Zakharchenko announced at a rally in the center of Donetsk to the applause of those gathered.
“At 4 o’clock in the morning a general offensive was launched,” he later said during a press conference. According to him, more than 1000 Ukrainian soldiers were destroyed and captured, 40 armored vehicles were destroyed, and 12 were taken as trophies.
In addition, the headquarters of the DPR militia announced that they were changing tactics.
“A decision was made to refuse to carry out actions by small units and to switch to conducting combat operations with full-fledged formations and individual military units, which have a full set of fire support equipment,” the DPR headquarters said in a statement. – On the basis of existing militia units, 3 infantry brigades were formed. A separate volunteer regiment was additionally created from among the Ukrainian military personnel who voluntarily went over to the side of the DPR and Donbass miners.”
As Navigator reported, earlier the militia announced the destruction of the 30th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
