“Since the summer period, the number of restored captured equipment has been more than 100 units. There is a lot of captured equipment here. Some of it was simply abandoned, therefore it is absolutely intact and is in full combat readiness,” said DPR Deputy Defense Minister Eduard Basurin.

The DPR states that after repairs, the equipment is being modernized. “The peculiarity of some armored vehicles is to be able to parachute from them. We do not install metal fences and plates, as the Ukrainian Armed Forces do. And the metal structures characteristic of Ukrainian technology hardly contribute to the landing process. Under such circumstances, a fighter can be seriously injured,” the DPR explained.
