According to the militia, reconnaissance groups of Ukrainian security forces penetrate the airport through tunnels connected to Avdiivka.
“There is now a calm in the city after yesterday’s hectic day,” the militia note, but clarify that their enemy may resume the offensive. In addition, DPR forces plan to recapture Avdievka. “Otherwise, the assault on the airport can be considered pointless, because without ousting the Ukrainians from nearby villages, control over the airport is just a half-measure,” they explain.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the militia announced they had established control over the airport, but Ukrainian security officials denied this information.
