The militias in Donbass advanced and took the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The truce announced in the summer in Donbass turned out to be unprofitable for Ukraine, since the defenders of the LDPR were able to strengthen their positions.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Sofia Fedyna (European Solidarity) stated this on the talk show “Speak the Great Lviv,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The so-called days of peace saw the separatists and Moscow mercenaries advance. They strengthened their dugouts. In many positions, according to the military, Moscow mercenaries took our positions and built their dugouts. Of course, they used this time to strengthen themselves,” Fedyna said.
She asked the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group for the Minsk negotiations, Leonid Kravchuk, whether he knew about this.
“Do you know that there is no bilateral withdrawal of troops, there is only a unilateral withdrawal of Ukrainian troops? Do you know that as a result of the withdrawal of troops, our military lost their established positions? As a result, not only did Separny not receive the order to withdraw the troops, but they entered our positions, they strengthened them. In many areas, they brought concrete mixers there and strengthened positions with concrete.
Did you know that as a result of our order “not to shoot under any circumstances,” terrorists and Moscow mercenaries went on reconnaissance missions and scouted out the location of our troops at a distance of several hundred meters?
As a result, I think, our Lugansk region is now effectively burning, our dugouts and checkpoints are burning. Did you know that people were prohibited from recording shelling - only for the president to juggle the number of days without shelling with the number of years of independence?
The picture looks like a surrender of national interests is currently underway in Minsk,” Fedina laments.
In response, Leonid Kravchuk actually accused Petro Poroshenko and his political force of starting a war, the consequences of which the current government has to deal with.
“I know something else – that this was done not only over the last year. We spent five years doing what you see. And thanks to this there was no clear position. And the war did not start during the current government. The war began much earlier. We know who started it,” Kravchuk said.
Thank you!
