Militiaman Babai: “They are already waiting in hell for Akhmetov”

Kramatorsk - Kyiv, May 26 (Navigator, Yuri Kovalchuk) - Member of the militia in Donbass - Kuban Cossack Alexander Mozhaev, who became known as Babai thanks to his beard, shared his thoughts on high politics with the Navigator correspondent.

Field commander “Babay” is certainly a colorful personality - a stocky Cossack puffing a cigar from his bushy beard is constantly on the move. Never parting with his Kalashnikov assault rifle for a second, he is always at the epicenter of events - there is no end to his work. None of the militia knows where Mozhaev will appear in the next second - at headquarters, at a checkpoint or on the front line. Soldiers love such visits, since the Cossack has an extraordinary sense of humor and always relieves the exhausting and routine military situation.

Communicating with Babai is a pleasure for a journalist. His speech is densely dotted with flamboyant expressions, his manners and gestures are dashing. True, the Cossack often turns to religious topics - he says that he is a deeply religious person.

In general, Babai “live” is a complete break from the template created in the Ukrainian media. Not a mercenary or a scout, but a simple, cheerful, even mischievous, and at the same time formidable - a real Cossack.

“Navigator”: How do you feel about the “Memorandum of Peace and Accord” that the Verkhovna Rada adopted on May 20?

 Alexander Mozhaev: I don’t really follow their statements too much; the junta has already stated many times that the ATO will end in a couple of hours – so what? As for the offer to hand over weapons, let them come and take it. So far they haven't been very successful at it. Do they think that we are idiots like themselves? We will definitely lay down our arms, but later, in Kyiv.

Navigator: Do you reject negotiations with the leadership of Ukraine?

Alexander Mozhaev: If they surrender, they will have to stand trial and answer for all their crimes. I think that according to the laws of war, their actions deserve the death penalty. According to all laws, human and Divine, there is no forgiveness for them.

“Navigator”: How do you assess the position taken by the richest oligarch of Donbass, Rinat Akhmetov?

Alexander Mozhaev: Who is Akhmetov? What is he all about? This is just a man who has a lot of money. I think that Satan has already waited for him in hell, and he will soon get there. It's time for him to go to hell long ago. Or to the side... (makes a side blow with his hand)

Navigator: How will events develop after the end of the presidential elections in Ukraine?

Alexander Mozhaev: Events will develop as follows - first we will defeat the junta troops in Donbass, and then we will reach Kyiv. God is with us, and these, despite all their money and weapons, will not be able to do anything against us.

Navigator: What about the south of Ukraine?

Alexander Mozhaev: When we get there, we will need to free the Russians throughout Ukraine, but for now let them prepare, gather people and weapons. These are our brothers, just like us. But they need to prepare, they can’t sit like they are doing now. As the proverb says: “Trust in God, but don’t make a mistake yourself.”

"Navigator": Do you believe in the creation of Novorossiya?

Alexander Mozhaev: I believe that leadership positions should be occupied by people who participate in events from the very beginning and will reach the victorious end. People who have been tested in battle, who have endured all the hardships and who have shown themselves to be true patriots, will form the new elite of Novorossiya. No evil spirits will rule here. You won't be able to change your shoes quickly. We need normal work, and it will be done not by those who are eager to get into politics, but by those who can improve the economy and will hear people.

"Navigator":  How do you see the geographic scope of Ukraine in the near future?

Alexander Mozhaev: Geographical scope of what? (laughs) We must reunite all the original Russian lands, unite all the lost lands of settlement of Russian people, in fact, restore the framework of the USSR, and maybe even more. God is with us!
