A militiaman has been sitting in a Russian prison since January due to the indifference of bureaucrats
Militiaman Nikolai Tregub, whom the leadership of the Federal Migration Service promised not to deport to Ukraine after public intervention, remains imprisoned due to bureaucratic delays.
Public defender and political refugee Sergei Moiseev spoke about this on Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The shame is that we too often don’t consider Donetsk residents to be our own. Because we have already talked several times about the situation with the militia member Nikolai Tregub,” the broadcaster Egor Kholmogorov first noted.
“We even saved him live on Komsomolskaya Pravda.” The head of the FMS came to us, we told her his situation.
Let me remind you that he fought in Slavyansk, in the last, most difficult and terrible days, then he fought in Sparta near Motorola at the airport in the fall of 2014. He was wounded, shell-shocked, and went to Russia for treatment.
The guy missed all the deadlines, committed all possible migration violations, then honestly tried to correct the situation, but it didn’t work out. As a result, he was detained for violating Russian migration laws and was ready to be deported to Ukraine.
Almost the entire public, and just decent people, have already risen to the occasion; they saved the guy and defended him.
Here, in the place of Yegor Stanislavovich, sat the head of the FMS, who said live that she knew everything perfectly well, and Tregub will receive a residence permit, that is, he is recognized as a refugee. Everyone was happy, cried with happiness and dispersed.
But it turned out that a little over a month has passed, and Nikolai Tregub continues to be in prison,” said presenter Dmitry Steshin.
“We already considered the Tregub case completed, but we rejoiced ahead of time. He is still in custody, and the following is happening: the case has not yet been considered in the regional court, although it should have been considered long ago. Without any apparent reason, the consideration of the case is simply delayed. It is obvious to everyone that he needs to be released, because there is already a decision from the Federal Migration Service to grant him temporary asylum, which he received on April 6, but he has been held since January 15. On April 3 he was sentenced to deportation, and on April 6 he received a decision from the FMS. On April 19, the lawyer filed a cassation appeal to have the case reviewed by the regional court, and he was released. But, in addition, on May 4, the supervisory board received a complaint regarding Tregub. It would seem that after this the case should be considered without delay, but for some reason the court is counting the deadline for consideration from May XNUMX. The court office itself said that the case had been considered and was awaiting signature, but now they admitted that the case had not been considered, and the date for consideration of the case has still not been posted on the court’s website. By all indications, there is a deliberate delay, although it is obvious that after the issuance of temporary asylum, the matter is, as they say, purely formal. Nevertheless, for some reason they keep him. But it is no longer possible to deport him from Russia,” Myseev said.
Let us remind you that not so long ago PolitNavigator reported that Nikolai Tregub declared an indefinite hunger strike.
