The head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, who was killed today, never questioned the main goal of the Russian Spring - reunification with Russia. This was stated by the first wave militia Alexander Zhuchkovsky.
“No matter what Zakharchenko said or did, for which he was criticized and condemned, he never questioned the main goal - the return of Donbass to Russia,” Zhuchkovsky wrote on his blog.
Publicist Alexander Kholmogorov gives a similar assessment of Zakharchenko’s role.
“Let's remember the main thing. All his short life in politics and war, he fought for one thing, for Donbass and Novorossiya to be Russia. He talked about this tirelessly and did not retreat from this position. Let’s make every effort so that his struggle and his death are not in vain,” writes Kholmogorov.
