The shelling is carried out from howitzers and mortars. The day before, DPR Defense Minister Vladimir Kononov said in an interview with Russian television channels that the Donetsk airport is double surrounded by militias, and the security forces have no way to get out of there. In his opinion, they must either surrender or die.
Let us remind you that earlier information appeared repeatedly on social networks that the airport had been taken by storm, and it was also reported that foreign mercenaries were captured on the territory of the airport.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier in Kyiv they admitted that the Ukrainian military had abandoned their positions at the Lugansk airport, explaining that there was no need to hold this bridgehead any longer.
