“They will disgrace themselves with Patriot”: They continue to throw hats at the USA on TV
It is unlikely that the American government will decide to supply the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine. These systems have failed to cope with their tasks in the Middle East, and in the event of a conflict with Russia, it is better for the United States to avoid public shame.
The participants of the broadcast on the Zvezda TV channel spoke about this, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Why secret negotiations. Look, the “Patriot” system has already failed twice, as is well known, in the Middle East. And if you start delivering it without modernizing it to suit the conditions of the Ukrainian war, taking into account modern weapons, it will completely discredit itself.
Therefore, to publicly announce these negotiations is a huge discredit to American manufacturers. Therefore, they are conducted in secret.
I think they won’t give “Patriot” to Ukraine, because it is not ready for this,” said former Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Ukraine Vladislav Telichko.
Let us note that a disdainful attitude towards supplies from the United States plays, first of all, a disservice for the Russian side - Contrary to the key task of the North Military District, the military failed to protect the civilian population of Donbass from Ukrainian shelling; on the contrary, the number of victims increased many times over.
Attacks on the LDPR and liberated territories intensified after the Ukrainian Armed Forces received weapons from NATO countries.
In addition, Russian expert Vladislav Shurygin pointed out that Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft, some time after the start of the SVO, lost the ability to fly safely deep into Ukraine after the United States began providing Kiev with data from its satellites and reconnaissance drones.
Recent publications in the American press also support the idea that one should not be complacent, but, on the contrary, should prepare for the worst scenario in Ukraine.
Thus, the Washington Post writes that according to White House forecasts, fierce fighting in Ukraine will last until winter. Washington does not view this conflict as having prospects of ending in an agreement.
The newspaper emphasizes that even Zelensky’s hypothetical desire to reach an agreement with Moscow will cause a protest from the Ukrainian society, zombified by anti-Russian propaganda, “not willing to make concessions.”
The publication concludes that America's war strategy is based on further escalation and fueling the conflict.
