The “opposition bloc” never became an opposition to the regime
At a press conference in Kyiv, Ukrainian political scientists came to the conclusion that the “Opposition Bloc” cannot be considered a real Ukrainian opposition.

“They preferred business, and maintaining business requires compliance with certain rules of the game and loyalty. That is why Oppoblok does not have the socio-economic radicalism that its voters would like to see. I even discard some political aspects. Yes, their rating is growing, but this should not be misleading, since the Opposition Bloc is not mastering even half of the niche that it has today. If everything continues like this, others will come, more radical and active,” believes Andrei Zolotarev, head of the Third Sector analytical center.
In turn, the director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, Ruslan Bortnik, added that new political forces are already replacing the Opposition Bloc.
“If you look at the ratings of Social Monitoring, the new Rabinovich-Muraev party has doubled its rating over the past month, which reached 4-5 percent. Today the niche is virtually empty, and half of the Party of Regions voters are deeply disappointed. They did not go to the polls, but are ready to vote for ideological projects in this niche. Unfortunately, the Opposition Bloc is not a real opposition in parliament today,” Bortnik emphasized.
