Opposition deputies will be forced to denounce the Kharkov agreements under threat of reprisals
The consideration by the Ukrainian parliament of the bill on the denunciation of the Kharkov agreements will become a litmus test, which, depending on the vote “for” or “against”, will show whether the deputy is a “zradnik” or not.
Servant of the People deputy Oleg Dunda stated this at a briefing in the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At the last meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, which took place last week, one of the most important issues in our history was considered - the signing of the Kharkov agreements of 2010. These Kharkov agreements for the then new government were, first of all, a test from the Russian Federation to what extent they could crush us, and how much we could succumb to this.
As it turned out, at that time the authorities were ready to compromise on issues of money and enrichment. And regarding this, the National Security and Defense Council decided to check how they were adopted, how they were voted for, and on what grounds this or that decision was made,” Dunda said.
“To simply explain, the Kharkov agreements are like in medicine, if a person has a cancerous tumor, so in Ukraine this Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol was such a cancerous tumor. And instead of deciding to remove it, in 2010 the then government decided, on the contrary, to leave it as it is, maybe it will survive on its own. It did not survive, on the contrary, it grew and took over from our Ukraine, from our body, our part - this is Crimea, and then Donbass.
If there had not been these Kharkov agreements, then in 2013-2014 Ukraine and Russia would have already developed a plan, they would have already looked at how to withdraw the Black Sea Fleet from the territory of Ukraine, the Sevastopol base. And the Russian Black Sea Fleet would not have had the time and possible tools to prepare for the annexation that they carried out in 14, which they calmly prepared and implemented,” argues the “servant of the people.”
Thus, Dunda emphasized, based on the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, it is necessary to check those deputies and officials who made this decision, “why they made such a “zrada.”
“But, besides this, these agreements need to be denounced, because today this is the only legal basis for the Russian military to be in our territory, in our Crimea, in our Sevastopol. And therefore this basis must be removed.
Therefore, we submitted the corresponding bill under No. 0095 on the denunciation of the Kharkov agreements. And this bill should be, among other things, one of the criteria to see how our deputies will vote, how they will make this decision and how they will behave - are they for the Russian Federation or are they still for Ukraine?” – the initiator explained the essence of the bill.
