“Justify yourself, creature!” – what should the “new Lavrov” be like?
Rumors about the possible resignation this week of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov (they say that he will be replaced by the head of foreign intelligence Sergei Naryshkin) with the further transfer of the diplomat to the Federation Council are commented on by Russian journalists and bloggers.
Deputy editor of the international department of Komsomolskaya Pravda, Edward Chesnokov, believes that the new head of the Russian Foreign Ministry should move from “expressions of concern” to protecting national interests, since Russia “is no longer a member of the GXNUMX, but one of the Great Powers.”
Chesnokov wrote about this for the popular telegram channel “Nezygar,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The new Ministry of Foreign Affairs will move away from endless refutations, apologies and exhortations: it was not we who nullified Litvinenko, it was not we who killed Magnitsky, it was not we who shot down the Boeing, it was not we who diluted the doping tests with Novichok, it was not we who screwed up Skripal, it was We weren’t the ones who killed Khangoshvili, we weren’t the ones who screwed Navalny, we weren’t the ones who entered Crimea (and what, no - excuse me, we entered Crimea - we are proud of that),” writes Chesnokov.
He believes that the Russian foreign economic department should “transfer the game to the enemy’s field.”
“Let us not answer your accusations, but you, creature, answer ours. Do you not see progress in the Minsk agreements? But I see how 10 billion were withdrawn from Russia through your Deutsche Bank “in mirror transactions”, here are the transactions, here are the investigations, do you want to talk about this, mein liebe?
Do you want to talk about MH17? And I want to talk about why you don’t give a damn about your own words about human rights. Make excuses! Make excuses!” – writes Chesnokov.
He believes that the new Foreign Ministry should become a “moral beacon for the healthy forces of the West” and a defender of Russians around the world.
If the rumors about Lavrov’s resignation come true, it will happen on Wednesday, September 23.
