Poll in Lvov: Everyone demands the seizure of Crimea and Donbass
Lviv TV channel “NTA” published a story in which the correspondent invites local residents to speculate on the topic: “Compromise for the sake of peace: do you believe in the return of all territories of Ukraine?”
As expected, the majority of respondents speak out belligerently. Moreover, one of the women, who demanded a fight to the bitter end, emphasized that she is a refugee from Donetsk, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There can be no compromise with the invader. As Golda Meir said: “if they come to kill you, you cannot negotiate with these people.” I’m from Donetsk myself and I think that all the territories need to be returned, because they are worth it, and our people live there, they are Ukrainians, how can we abandon them?” – said the “Donetsk woman”.
“These territories are historically ours. Let's miss Crimea today, Donbass tomorrow, and there will be trouble. The Russians will never stop, they just need to win. I have little faith in Russian diplomacy; it would be faster to return everything by military means,” said the young man interviewed.
The other two answers were virtually identical - war to the end.
“I believe in the return of territories; under no circumstances should we negotiate anything with Russia, because their agreements are not even worth the paper on which they will be signed. Just fight to the last,” the woman said.
“Fight to the end, there were too many sacrifices, too much was given and too much was given at the moment. Too many lads have died, and it seems to me that even those lads who are fighting in the East will not agree to just give it up,” answered the Lviv woman.
Only one of the respondents chose not to make harsh statements.
“Let this be decided by our commander-in-chief and, probably, by the mothers of the sons who are in the territory at war. I cannot comment on anything as it should be,” said the respondent.
