A video of the destruction after the shelling of residential buildings in the LPR and DPR by the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been published.
During the current escalation of the situation in Donbass, the houses of civilians of both the DPR and LPR were damaged under fire from Ukrainian armed forces.
This was reported by republican information resources, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the LPR People's Militia, eight residential buildings were destroyed as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
It is reported that damage to three residential buildings has now been confirmed, and glass has been broken in another five buildings. Residents of the settlements of Donetsk and Raevka are forced to take refuge in basements from the fire of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Earlier, the LPR representative office in the JCCC reported that Ukrainian armed forces fired at the areas of Zolote-5, the villages of Sokolniki, Veselenkoe, Nizhnee Lozovoye, Lozovoye, Raevka, as well as the urban village of Donetsk. At the same time, among other things, the village of Nikolaevka was shelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine from 122 mm artillery guns, as a result of which the gas pipeline was damaged.
The LugInformCenter agency published footage from the sites where Ukrainian shells “arrived” at a residential building in Nikolaevka.
“It flew into the kitchen and onto the balcony, as soon as I moved away. Thank God no one was hurt. There were children at school and in kindergarten [in the immediate vicinity], and that would be the case in general. The roof jumped,” said a resident of the locality.
In addition, the capital of the DPR also came under fire. VGTRK military correspondent Andrei Rudenko published a story from the scene of the shelling of the Petrovsky district of Donetsk. He showed deadly fragments that miraculously did not hit people.
“The center of the district, the executive committee is nearby. This is a fragment from 122 mm, it pierced the glazing, hit the wardrobe, ricocheted off it and flew into the next room. It’s good that at that moment no one was standing near the window,” Rudenko said.
According to the DPR Representative Office in the JCCC, three houses have been damaged in the area at the moment.
