The chief of staff of the Ukrainian military unit No. A4104, Lieutenant Colonel Baturin, told how Ukrainian pilots shot down Malaysian Boeing over Donbass.

“On July 15, 2014, a “drying” was brought from Kirovograd, I know this for sure, supposedly for technical re-equipment. Well, for some strange reason they drove her into the hangar and that’s it. All. On the 15th we were forced into a hangar, on the 16th, I think, we had no flights, and on the 17th, according to the regulations, there were flights. So, on the 17th, July 17, 2014, according to the schedule, aircraft No. 63 and No. 64 were supposed to take off. But instead of aircraft No. 63, this No. 52, which arrived from Kirovograd, took off. It’s also somehow strange, here, which is not recorded, does not appear in the magazines, does not appear anywhere.
So they flew off to complete task No. 1, a course task. This is task No. 1 to destroy air targets, somewhere in the Torezovo area, somewhere there, Snezhnoye and Torez, that area was carried out,” he said.
The lieutenant colonel emphasized that the planes were equipped with combat missiles, and that one can judge with confidence that at least they had a goal. Moreover, the day before they received an anti-aircraft missile launcher, which also went to the same area “for support.”
“Look, according to the execution, all this is back in the logs, then aircraft No. 63 and No. 64 took off, there were pilots Yevtushenko and Savitsky. But Savitsky on board number 63 did not fly away; instead, this unknown pilot who arrived from Kirovograd flew away...
According to my information, task No. 1 was completed, and immediately on the same day, which is strange, I emphasize that it is strange, the pilots from aircraft No. 64, No. 63, No. 52 were immediately disbanded and transferred somewhere, it is not clear where or how. Along the way, they were transferred somewhere to other units, to other units, as is usually done, they were disbanded, maybe even renamed,” Baturin added.
The Investigation Agency also published a conversation between Captain Dmitry Samofalov from military unit No. A4104 and his friend, an employee of the Pechenegs tracking station.

However, the Federal Investigation Agency emphasized that the International Investigation Team in the Netherlands (JIT) ignored the materials sent to them back in 2017, as well as a photocopy of the SBU document ordering the destruction of all evidence of Ukraine’s involvement in this crime.
“As part of a special operation, destroy any materials that indicate the presence of combat aircraft and the performance of combat missions in the specified area on July 17.07.2014, 4104; carry out preventive measures and rotation of military personnel of the aviation squadron who flew in the specified area. In particular, military personnel of aviation brigade No. AXNUMX, Chuguev, Kharkov region,” the document says.
