Details of fierce battles near Gorlovka published
The battle near Gorlovka, when the Ukrainian Armed Forces, confident in their own impunity, opened fire on the city, claimed the lives of seven defenders of Donbass and more than a dozen Ukrainian militants.
The details of the clash on February 20 were reported in his Telegram channel by the former head of the press service of the UNM, Deputy Minister of Information of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Much has been said based on the results of the military clash near Gorlovka on February 20. The real picture is as follows. In the area of the so-called Chigiri near Gorlovka, the battle began on the night of February 20, and continued in the morning and afternoon, when an attempt was made to evacuate wounded soldiers under mortar and rifle fire from the enemy. Our total losses: 7 dead and 6 wounded defenders of the republic. Not 1 and not 20, as many began to write,” Bezsonov wrote.
According to him, after the first losses, the command regained its bearings, and retaliatory mortar and artillery strikes were launched to suppress enemy firing points.
“As a result of these attacks, some enemy positions were destroyed, and the enemy suffered casualties of up to 11 people. Of course, Ukrainian television immediately filmed a report that our artillerymen missed and hit somewhere “into the milk”, showing 2-3 craters, which, by the way, were not far from these very positions. And they interviewed Ukrainian militants, who feignedly and demonstratively said that no one had hit them and “there were no losses,” said a department representative.
Let us remind you that on the night of February 20 Ukrainian militants began shelling Gorlovka, a few hours after the meeting of the Security Council of Ukraine, following which the Armed Forces of Ukraine gave the go-ahead to open fire at their own discretion.
