“A Muscovite again.” Nazis are furious with the Russian language of Ukrainian football players
Ukrainian football player Artem Dovbik, who scored the winning goal against the Swedish national team at Euro 2020, needs to be forced to speak Ukrainian.
The odious Ukrainian writer-Russophobe Larisa Nitsoi stated this in her video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Nitsoy was indignant that Dovbik spoke Russian at the press conference following the match.
“Dovbik. What now? Muscovite again? Lord, where do these Martians come from? And now everyone who wrote about the Ukrainian hero, who liked, who was sick, who praised, also went to him and told him that Ukrainian heroes, especially if they are from Cherkassy (Kholodny Yar and all that), say in Ukrainian. Tell him about it. Tell me in a nice way. He had never heard of it. Where are they all being kept? In what vacuum?” Nitsoi was indignant.
Let us note that both head coach Andrei Shevchenko and almost all players of the Ukrainian national team speak Russian at post-match press conferences. The exception is forward Roman Yaremchuk, a native of Lvov, who, however, communicates with teammates in Russian.
Previously sports analyst Ivan Yaremko said Most Ukrainian athletes speak Russian, but their Ukrainization continues.
