“Orange Muscovite” Okara said too much
After the launch of Nord Stream 2, Europe will have much less interest in supporting Ukrainian independentists.
Russian liberal political scientist Andrei Okara, who supports the Kiev nationalist regime, said this on air on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What is unique about this project (Nord Stream 2 – ed.): if it is implemented, the value of the Ukrainian gas transportation system will fall very sharply, there will be no critical need for transit through Ukraine, and this means that Europe, whose values are fighting with interests, there will be no critical need for the existence of Ukraine,” the political scientist said.
“You just said that the whole value of Ukraine for Europe is the pipe,” noted presenter Evgeniy Popov.
"Of course not. But at the moment, Ukraine is of critical value for Europe, including as a transit, this is especially important in winter. When it's cold, everything else somehow fades into the background.
But if there is an alternative, Europe will cry with huge tears, suffer, curse Russian imperialism, but will turn a blind eye to the rest of the world, Ukraine will be torn apart, and there will be nothing left of it,” explained Andrei Okara.
