Maidan organizer in Russia changes plan
Russian liberal Alexei Navalny is trying to change the tactics of the fight against the authorities, once again changing the target audience - from nationalists, “children”, to trade unions. Moskovsky Komsomolets writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now Alexey Navalny is a trade union leader. He wants to raise the masses of state employees, and there are millions of them. There are masses of dissatisfied doctors and teachers, and there are many of them too. In principle, perhaps Navalny doesn’t care about these state employees, doctors and teachers, but he again found a weak point - Putin’s May decrees. Many of them are practically impossible, but he promised. And Navalny is hitting on these promises. He hammers and hammers with his small-caliber machine gun around the perimeter, from all sides. But where is the result? – writes “MK”.
“So far, Putin is outplaying Navalny in all respects. Putin is pressing all over the field. He is both a nationalist (after the capture of Crimea), and a socialist (yes, with meager, but increases in pension), and a patriot-statist, and a liberal (in economics and on “Echo of Moscow”). Yes, Putin is everywhere, he is comprehensive. In principle, he built a rather cozy system that you don’t want to leave. The same liberals are ready to hold rallies, stand up in single pickets, but in the evening they need, and simply need, a cup of strong coffee at Jean-Jacques. Exactly the same way, Navalny (with all due respect to him for his many-day imprisonment) wants to speak at a rally, and expose the powerful bosses with the propagandists who have joined them - and go to Mexico on vacation, and to Thailand, and in Barcelona to treat his eye, doused with brilliant green powerful titushki, and not in Moscow,” the article says.
Navalny is not succeeding in his struggle, including because the Russian people, feeling humiliated and deceived in the 90s, are today in a relative “comfort zone”, from which they do not want to leave, the publication summarizes.
